The text we use for Comp II at OCCC includes Public Enemy's "Fight the Power" as a piece of poetry making an argument about power and responsibility. For that day's lecture, I played the song for the class, along with songs from Pink Floyd, Wyclef Jean, and M.I.A.. It was one of the most fun classes and the students had one of their more spirited discussions of the semester.
